I do use my ITunes music primarily but also have access to Amazon Prime music. In addition I can do most things now done on the phone through the Home Pod mini. (When they become available, of course!) So I could replace the Amazon devices totally and since I find their app less than ideal, I would be content with that. Perhaps I might retain one Dot in a strategic location as a backup for any questions to which Siri may not give an appropriate response. Plus I have one Sonos speaker which is Alexa enabled. And yes the Sonos does have remarkable sound. Marie

I have not heard the Sonos speakers but I understand they have great sound, which comes at a pretty high price point, but may very well be worth the cost. If your primary music source is your iTunes library, then it makes sense to me to go with an Apple product for ease of use and compatibility. Since I live alone I can move to another room and still hear my music, or a football game or radio station. I have a bit over 1800 square feet to roam and prefer not having to carry a device around whenever I wander. This way I can concentrate on my navigation. LOL! FYI I have set up Amazon, Google and Sonos speakers with no sighted assistance with very little or no trouble and know there will be no problem with the Home pods I plan to try when available.
