Hi Sherry,

 

I don't use Venmo but have it on my iPhone because it seems to be the 
electronic payment app of choice for the younger generations. I signed into it 
today and can confirm I experienced the same thing you did with the loading of 
contacts. When it didn't do this process quickly, I skipped the step. I didn't 
find the app to be totally accessible either and if I had to pay someone 
electronically on a regular basis and they didn't use an iDevice which supports 
payments with the Messages app, I would use the Square Cash app instead.

 

I know this is of little help but I wanted to let you know I experienced the 
same issues with Venmo that you did.

Hi list,

 

Is anyone using Venmo?  I tried installing it today & have some issues.

1) Some of the privacy info & options were not readable with voice over

2) I clicked on load my contacts & the app was still loading 45 minutes later.  
I don’t have an excessive number of contacts, a little over 100.  I finally 
skipped this step.

3) I was never prompted to enter any bank info for myself

4) when I went back into Venmo later, I expected to have to enter a password.  
One of the early steps in the install was to enter a password.  The app opened 
without my entering a password.

 

I have not tried to transfer money yet.  Perhaps when I do, I will be prompted 
for bank info then.  I want to wait until the app only opens with a password 
before I enter any bank info.  Or maybe you only get prompted for a password 
when you try to transfer money? 

 

Has anyone else had these kinds of problems?  Is there something I can do?  Any 
info would be helpful.
