Hi, Well, you don't really have to see to use this app. I am totally blind and tried it out last night. The trick is learning approximately where the bar codes are located which takes some patience and perhaps some sighted help at first. If it is a can, the bar code is usually close to the seam of the label. If it is a bag with a seam, it is also usually near the seam. Boxes are often on the bottom, or close to the bottom. You just have to be patient and hold the camera about 4 to 8 inches from the object and stay focused on one area for a while, probably 30 seconds then move slightly to focus on another area. Once you get a few correct, you will have a better idea where to find them and you'll get faster at it.
