Just use the /m3 switch Lol.

Seriously, that is one of the drawbacks of using the iPhone as opposed to the IdMate. What you need to do is learn where the barcodes are likely located. The best app on the iPhone is probably DigitEyes.

Bar codes are usually on the bottom or lower side of a box, and near the seam on a can. Hold the phone about six inches away.

Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

Uh, maybe I'm just stupid, but it wants me to center the barcode in the square to scan it. I'm totally blind, so can't tell where either the square or the barcode on the product are. I've never even used the camera on my iphone, never had a need to. Any advice?
