The defender clip may be bulky, but I took a very hard fall with the phone clipped to my pocket, inside the pocket with just the plastic back on the outside. I heard it hit the concrete and hoped it had not cracked. It did not, phone is working just fine, clip is fine. Thank heavens I had it clipped or the phone would have been out in the street somewhere. Rolled asphalt at a curb was the reason I went down so hard. Broke a tooth which is now fixed, but not the phone in its Defender case.
