Hello Malcolm, How funny that you should ask this question. I found a tone generator about half an hour ago. It has a slider, and there are plus and minus buttons that change the tone by 1 Hz. It's called Tone Generator: Audio Sound Hz, is developed by TMSOFT, and is free. I believe it goes from 20 to 20,000 Hz.
