I use the Sonic app to generate tones. It came in handy when I dripped hand sanitizer inside of my ear peace speaker by accident. I used Sonic to generate a low tone like the apple watch does to expel water from my ear peace. I dripped a little water in there to flush out the sanitizer and the low tone from Sonic pushed everything out. You don't want to attempt this on anything before the iPhone 7. The iPhone needs to have a water resistance. The Apple Watch does this same thing if you go under water with it.

Anna,

Just curious. Why would someone need a tone generator? Is a tone generator
different from a app used to tune an instrument?

Thank you for the app recommendation.

Subject: Re: Accessible tone generator app?

Hello Malcolm,

How funny that you should ask this question. I found a tone generator about
half an hour ago. It has a slider, and there are plus and minus buttons that
change the tone by 1 Hz. It's called Tone Generator: Audio Sound Hz, is
developed by TMSOFT, and is free. I believe it goes from 20 to 20,000 Hz.

Best,
Anna

Does anyone know of an accessible tone generator app where the frequency of the
generated tone can be finely adjusted?

Thanks.
