When you use the pressure function you set it to the time in pressure, and the screen will show more time than what you set because it takes into account the time it takes to build up to pressure and the time it takes to release steam, but time in pressure will be what you set it for. For example: if you set it for 20 minutes that's how long it will be under pressure cook, but the screen may show 30 minutes because it takes into account build up and steam release so you could use regular pressure cook recipes.
