Chrome does have a reputation of being a resource hog, but I’m not sure if this applies to IOS or not. It also depends on how you use Chrome. For example, it’s especially memory intensive if you have multiple tabs open at the same time.
If you’re just asking about a particular use case then I’d say see if Safari works or not. IMHO, it is good to have a few browsing options though, in case a site does work particularly well with one browser over another. Rajiv is right that if you’re using Windows or Linux then Edge, Chrome and Firefox all give you the option of sharing bookmarks, open tabs, auto filling of form fields and so on across all of your devices. I assume this is also true if you’re using Safari on both your Mac and your iPhone. For me, Safari is usually my first option on IOS, but I do use Edge a lot, especially when I know I’m going to want to do something on my phone that I frequently do on my PC. -- Christopher (AKA CJ) Chaltain at Outlook From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Rajiv Shah Sent: Tuesday, March 9, 2021 3:50 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Chrome on iOS Hi, I would tend to disagree with the assertion that Chrome is a resource hog on IOS. I use Chrome all the time on IOS, and don't find it anymore or any less of a resource hog. In fact, I find it of equal capability with Safari, with the added benefit that all my desktop Chrome favorites also transfer over. Additionally, it is faster on IOS than Android in many cases, because Chrome and Safari use the same engine on IOS. Thank you.
