I agree with Simon. I walk around my house all of the time wearing my Airpod Pros, and although when walking out side, I'll tend to grab my Bose Frames or my Aftershokz, I could see myself wearing my Pros or the Maxes outside, but as Simon says, I'd still be careful at intersections and congested areas, by turning off whatever I'm listening to except for the occasional updates from my GPS system.
I have to admit, I'm perplexed by the subject line and the body of the original message. I'm not sure I've ever seen the phrase "morale etiquette" before, and I'm not sure why the morale high ground has to be invoked before even asking a simple question. -- Christopher (AKA CJ) Chaltain at Outlook -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com <viphone@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of Simon A Fogarty Sent: Monday, March 29, 2021 3:23 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Apple AirPod Max, a moral etiquette question about wearing in public when active outside I'm not saying I would do it often But yes I've tried it with my airpods pro on transparency mode and although I could walk around playing music I wouldn't want to be playing iron maidan or black sabith at the time. And crossing an uncontrolled intersection, I gave a try but that got close to the end of the road, I find using my bose frames while walking around is the best thing for me, They manage to let me keep hearing everything going onn around me with regard to traffic and people. Still crossing uncontrolled intersections I find it's better to do it with audio off. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com <viphone@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of Mich Verrier Sent: Monday, 29 March 2021 9:16 pm To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Apple AirPod Max, a moral etiquette question about wearing in public when active outside Hi as some one who is toatley blind I would not wair hed phones wile walking around unless it was in my oan apt but out out and about in the real world since I need my ers to lissen to the noise of traffic etc. from Mich. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com <viphone@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of Pete Nalda Sent: March 29, 2021 4:14 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Apple AirPod Max, a moral etiquette question about wearing in public when active outside Ok. Given the fact transparency is so well done, are any VI folks here brave enough to wear them walking around? To me, it might be triggering fodder for those with their own moral high ground. It’s not like everyone is listening to Dubstep with the volume at 90%! Opinions welcomed! And without opening Pandora’s box, I’ll admit, I’m kind of a freedom over compliance kind of person.
