While the transparency is quite good, I would never try walking down the street with them on. You do not have as true a sense of where things are. I would compare it to the problem a person with sight in one eye has; no true depth persception. You can hear things yes, but you would not be able to safely judge the distance or direction accurately enough to be safe outside. That is why the things like AfterShokz and Bose Frames are a better choice for walking since your ears are completely unhindered.
