In my work as a rehabilitation instructor I ran into lots of clients dealing with this. There are the Dexcom and the Freestyle Libre styles that are patches you wear for between 12 and 14 days I think, and work wirelessly with your phone, so you don't have to buy their extra monitoring device. Those you can avoid having to prick your finger for blood. Or the Talking Prodigy model where you have to use the blood strips, replacement strips are available from amazon.
I've heard that the Dexcom is a bit more accessible with your phone. You need at least an iPhone 7. Here is the link to the Dexcom https://www.dexcom.com/g6-cgm-system Freestyle Libre https://duckduckgo.com/?q=freestyle+libre&t=h_&ia=web&iai=r1-0&page=1&sexp=%7B%22cdrexp%22%3A%22b%22%2C%22biaexp%22%3A%22b%22%2C%22msvrtexp%22%3A%22b%22%7D HTH, Richard "The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it." - John Ruskin, 1819-1900 Web site: www.turner42.com -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Ann Byrne Sent: Sunday, April 11, 2021 6:53 AM To: viPhone list <[email protected]> Subject: Glucose monitor?
