I can vouch, as my wife uses that system. She can see well enough to tuse
the reader, but I set up the app on her phone and i can also check her
readings.
There is now a Libre 2 which has additional features, such as various
alarms, and also a 21 day sensor, but as of now she uses the 14 day sensor.

I recently started using the Freestyle Libre 14 day system product from
Abbott. I highly recommend this product. I downloaded the Libre link app on
my iPhone. The app is easy to use. You do not need to buy the reader unless
you want a sighted person to look at your readings. I use my iPhone to
monitor all of my data.
I recently got my insurance company to purchase my sensors. I have a small
co-pay.
