Another reason is that multiple kinds of chargers are available. Apple wants to delight the consumer with an optimal experience for their needs so the consumer is in the best position to decide what charger is best for them. Nearly everyone here has the standard five-watt charger, which is great for charging an iPhone overnight. More recent are rapid chargers, which have a higher wattage and enable an iPhone to go from 0 to 50 percent battery charge in less than an hour. Then there’s wireless charging. With all of these options, it would be completely presumptuous for Apple to know which charger would be best for a specific user.
