Well, IMHO, there’s always an upgrade or better device around the corner, so you can always wait. I think whether to upgrade is a personal decision. How unhappy are you with your current device and are you willing to wait six months for a device that may only be marginally better then what you can get now? The iPhone 12 is a great device, and it’ll work fine for years. Of course the iPhone 13 will be better, so whether to wait comes down to how unhappy you are now. Sure, you may end up with a better phone by waiting, but that means putting up with your current device for another six months.

Apart from second generation 5G support it is rumoured that the iPhone 13 phones will have both Touch Id and Face Id which will give you the best of two worlds, they are rumoured to all have LiDAR which going forward I am sure will be used by apps such as Seeing AI and others to give you more and better information about your surroundings. I furthermore don't see all that much reason for a blind person to get a Pro phone unless of course somebody likes the huge size of the Pro Max phones so the regular iPhone 13 will most likely be an excellent phone and I may consider upgrading from my iPhone 11 if it does indeed have both Face Id and Touch Id as well as LiDAR..
