Excellent. I understand the issue. For me, Apple Music does not have vintage jazz recordings from small labels or indie metal bands. You want to rip the CD’s using iTunes in 320 CBR MP3. The default is Apple’s M4A format in a lower bitrate. A lot of other devices do not support M4A. I also keep my ripped files in a separate location from my iTunes library. The possibility exists that your files will be deleted if you delete the tracks from your device and then synchronize the iPhone with your computer.
