I believe mine was also in the molded plastic packaging so hopefully they haven't thrown out the box yet.

I had to physically remove each piece of card board just so I wouldn't miss it. I only thought to do this because Logitech also packages their USB keyboard dongles in this manner. If that doesn't work, it's possible they put it in the left earpiece. There's a little compartment that swings out that stores the dongle when not in use.
