Dwayne, Making that phone an iPod like device probably makes sense. There have been technically 5 phone models since the 8. The 10, the 10s or whatever they called it, the 11, the SE 2020, and the 12. If you love the home button, consider waiting to see what they do with the iPhone 13 this fall, and if it doesn't have a touch sensitive place on the screen to simulate the home button; consider the SE 2020. It has the same guts as the 11, and is my current phone of choice. I'm considering, actually planning, on the 13 unless there is some strong reason against it.
