I would also recommend turning off Touch to Wake, under Accessibility, then Touch, in the Physical and Motor section of Accessibility. Similar to Richard's suggestion of turning off the Raise to Wake function, Touch to Wake will turn on the phone each time it is touched, or tapped. Not good when the phone is in a pocket.
