If you have a computer with Openbook or Kurzwel, they have a mode for that. ON the iPhone, I think KNFB Reader will tell you the orientation but the quality seems iffy these days. You can get access to the basic KNFB Reader inside the free NFB Newsline app.
I am not sure which other iPhone scanning apps report orientation.
