I thought you'd all like to know that thanks to a couple of folks on the list, I was able to bring my text messages back to the home screen where it belonged, and all's well that ends well. But the mystery remains: How did my Messages folder leave the home screen in the first place. It's a good thing it showed up both in the spotlight and in this new App libarry that is part of iOS 14.
