And also not true, there are times when updates come out which fix previous issues so if you don't update you potentially continue to experience issues which have already been fixed. This particular Facebook Messenger bug is mildly annoying but far from a major accessibility issue. Sure, if you don't update you don't have it, but let's say another update comes out which fixes it and you update but in turn another bug is introduced then you have gained nothing.
