I Very much doubt the millions of customers it would take to switch to the "somewhat dark side, grin" will do so, which is what it would take to impact Apple's wallet. A few people switching to Android certainly won't.
I also doubt Flicktype will see the light of day again, which is too bad, but not the end of the world. Its not perfect as I said, but I have control, and Apple, or Google for that matter, cannot take it away. I think the only way Apple will change so drastically is if they notice a decrease in money. Their App Store is very dear to them as a money-making ability, so I doubt a few people complaining about a specialized app will move them. After all, thousands of people complaining about CSAM hasn't, and thousands complaining about fortnight hasn't either. If it does, though, that's great. But if not, prepare to vote with your money.
