Thank you so much. That’s worked which means I can use my iPad again. What I don’t understand, and it would be great if someone could explain it to me, is if screen recognition is meant to recognize items on the screen which Voiceover doesn’t normally recognize, why does it make the majority of my apps unusable? Of course, you can also flick to remove the app from the app switcher. Repeat the previous steps for all unusable apps in which screen recognition has been enabled. Any questions feel free to ask. However turning screen recognition back off is my problem now because as I mentioned in my original email I am unable to navigate any of my apps and that includes settings. I need to be able to get into settings to turn screen recognition back off. I therefore decided to play around in the Voiceover settings and turned on screen recognition which, if my understanding is correct, is meant to enable Voiceover to recognize items on the screen when moving around apps which Voiceover might not otherwise recognise. However, having turned that on and selected the apps I wanted included, although I can move around my home screen OK I am unable to move around any apps and that includes settings. Is anyone able to advise me how I can rectify this problem please as I am unable to move around using neither the touch screen or a Bluetooth keyboard.
