Well, you could twist the roter until you get to word and then flick down until you hear the number. If you then do a three finger quadruple tap then you will just get the number VoiceOver read copied into the clipboard.
If that doesn’t work, then you can twist the roter until you get to text selection, flick up or down to select how much text you want to select at a time and then flick left and right to highlight the text you want to copy. This may be easier if you use line or character to get to the text you want to select first. After you have the text you want then twist the roter until you get to edit and then flick up or down to copy and double tap to copy the text you just selected into the clipboard. Once you’ve done this, go to the app where you want to paste the text, twist the roter until you get to edit, flick down to paste and double tap.
