I personally like Goodreads. I have made different shelves for various apps. The default shelf which I do not duplicate is NLS because most of my books are from there. I have shelves for book share, Kindle, hoopla and my local library. So when a note a book as want to read or currently reading ET see, I put it may be on two shelves but since it is already on the default bookshelf, I have to put it in the shelf where all the book actually comes from like Kindle ET see.

I signed up to Good Reads only because my book group leader wanted to try using it for voting on books, but, like someone else said, I have no interest in leaving behind my Excel file where I have my notes and opinion of the books I have read. I’ll have to consider adding some notes or a new tab. I think I do have a tab on that file for books that have been recommended to me, so maybe that would be a way to build out a list of what I have and other options. Then when you finish one, you simply move that row to the done tab. Of course, that also means that I have books in various apps and I’m now finding that I can easily lose track of where a book is. To be more specific, I have Audible, Kindle, Voice Dream Reader, Christian Audio, Chirp and BARD. I’ve occasionally found that I’ve almost purchased a book in Audible, forgetting that I had already found it on BARD. Or, I download a book someone recommends to me or that I find on sale, then forget which app it’s in. Some of you talk about having hundreds of books on your phone. Anyone found any great ways to keep track of what you have downloaded? I will say that I’m not one to keep a book on my device once I’ve read it. I keep an Excel spreadsheet with books I’ve read and what I thought of them, and recently added a note as to which app I read it on, but this doesn’t help me with books I have yet to read. Just interested if anyone has any great ideas on ways to link everything into one list or something.
