Sounds like maybe you have set notifications to be delivered quietly which means they appear in notification centre, but not as notifications with a sound etc. You can check by finding one of the notifications in notification centre, then swipe down with one finger and check if there is an option to "Deliver prominently". When my screen is unlocked, I don’t receive any notification banners at all. But when I lock the screen, notifications arrive normally. Let’s say I am in whatsapp, and Forza football sent me a notification, the banner and sound don’t appear, but I can access this notification normally from the notification center. I checked that do not disturb is disabled, and do not disturb while driving is not activated, and the apps are allowed to send notifications normally. What could be wrong here?
