Hi Rob, Yes, there is a big price difference between an iPad Mini and a Nexus 7 inch tablet, but it is not exactly like comparing "Apples to Apples" pun intended.
The iPad Mini screen in area is a third larger even though on the diagonal it's only 7 inches to 7.9 inches, this is one thing they really emphasized during the keynote. On the other hand the Nexus has a better screen resolution since the iPad Mini is only 1024 by 768. I strongly believe, however, that Apple will release an updated iPad Mini within 6 or so months which will have a retina screen. Of course this is just a prediction, but given the fact that they updated the big iPad twice this year and that now all their iDevices except for the iPad 2 which is still around and the iPad Mini are retina including their 13 and 15 inch Macbook Pros I wouldn't be surprised if that was coming fairly soon. Lastly, there is of course that little issue of accessibility for everybody on this list and while you can buy an Android tablet for a lot less, you can also get a bunch of Android phones for a lot less, but I still wouldn't want to go back to the 18th accessibility century. OK, I know some people disagree with that, so please do so off-list. Regards, Sieghard -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
