Everything is the same on the phone that has no home button. The only thing that’s changed is that you use the side button on the right hand side to turn on voice over if it doesn’t come up when you begin to set it up. All the gestures are exactly the same except the ones Richard has so kindly pointed out. They iOS is the same. VoiceOver is the same. the only difference is that you swipe up from the bottom with the two little blips to go to home. If you hear three blips you are in the switcher if you go from the top you will find the notification Center and the control center I believe. I have not had much luck with going from the top so I set another gesture for that purpose. Going from the bottom and swiping up can be very uncomfortable at first so be very patient with yourself. Just keep practicing and it will become so second nature that you’ll be surprised you ever thought you needed a home button. Even when I had the se I use the home button but I kept trying to use the swipe up. Now I have a 12 and it was like coming home. Believe me it is not as big a deal as you think it is. It’s all the same except that you use the side button and the up-and-down button. Mostly you use the side button to speak with Siri and to turn on voice over if you have to . Remember also that you can ask Siri to turn on VoiceOver once you have the phone set up. You will be fine. It looks daunting but it’s not.
