I say hey siri start outdoor walk, And hey s,pause workout, Hey s restart workout. If you say hey siri start workout after you’ve paused it then it starts a second workout of that type.
I only use the indoor cycle and outdoor walk workouts but I’m sure if you said start elliptical trainer worklout she should be able to figure it out. But then starting them from the workouts app sn’t a problem. It’s the during the issue arises with the crap interface. It’s a bug that came with watch os 8 and hopefully it will be fixed soon as it’s bloody annoying I’m finding using siri to start the work out and or pause / restart the work out Is easier than trying to press the buttons with that issue. So when I go for a walk or use our elliptical machine I start the workout app and then check periodically to see my heart rate or find out how far I have walked. But since the last upgrade when I go to check my status there is an overlay on the screen from the music app or audio that wants me to interact with sound or music or radio or whatever and I can’t get to my workout data or pause or end my workout. I want to make this go away but don’t know how to. I like some of the things the watch can do but I fine it hard to use. When I’m using the workout app I want that to be primary.
