yYes, they can be from two different providers, and from two different countries. You do not need to give your phone to anyone to activate an e-sim. My provider is AT&T. I called them and asked them to send me an esim in the mail. When I received it, I scanned the code and I called the customers service and they asked me some questions related to my IMEI of my phone and few other pieces of information you can find under settings general and about. Within few minutes my esim was active and I threw away the AT&T physical sim card. From that moment, my physical sim tray was empty. Any time I travel to any country, I insert a physical sim card of a local number into the sim card tray of my phone, and restart the phone. That is simply how it works.

Cheers,

y

Hi, Group.

My question is about E-SIM and I am talking about E-SIM compatible phone only. Can an E-SIM and the physical SIM be from two different providers? Can they both be from two different countries?

In order to have E-SIM, do I have to hand my phone to the person processing my SIM application?

Thanks!
