Hi, all.
Using Voice Dream Reader version 4.13.12 on iPhone 12 Pro still running
iOS 14.8.
I fell asleep using VDR last night. When I woke up a few hours later
and tried resuming the book, the app seemed to be running, but I only
got the status bar. I closed the app, cleared out the app switcher,
and tried opening it several times and still the status bar. I tried
shutting the phone off and powering it back on, then I tried doing a
hard reset. For this I pressed volume up, volume down, and held down
the side button for about 30 seconds. The phone rebooted just fine both
times.
I usually have the phone locked and charging on my night stand and
simply power off my Bluetooth headphones before going to sleep, so the
phone was charging, and app was running the entire time. I don't have
automatic updates on, and in any case there isn't an update for VDR.
This doesn't seem to be an iPhone issue. The only thing I can think to
do is to uninstall the app and do a fresh install.
Oh, yes, I know there's an iOS update, but I've got several family
members with Covid, so I'm trying to keep my phone on without messing
things up with a new update.
Any thoughts?
