At least for me, one factor to consider when getting a new iPhone, is how long you've had your current iPhone. I've only had my iPhone 8 for about 2 and a half years. As much as I thought about getting a new iPhone, I stopped and thought that I hadn't had my current iPhone all that long. I will consider getting a new phone when my iPhone 8 no longer will accept updates. Also, how well your phone is working is something that should be considered. I just had a battery replaced in my iPhone 8 not to long ago and my phone is working fine. In maybe a couple years, I'll probably get a new phone. Good luck.
