Hi Simon, For your information the recording was made with my Apple Watch Series7 using Just Record.
I used a NAD 20-30 integrated amplifier and Heybrook5 speakers my iPhone 12 Pro Max was connected to the auxiliary input via an Apple charging stand with a 3.5MM to two phono cable. Those are the technical details for your interest. The point of my post which you appear to have missed is not the clarity or otherwise of the recording but the pause at the start of the second track. Having listened to the recording I would hope the most disputatious of readers would understand the point I was trying to make. I hope the above details will enable you to make a more constructive response.
