Okay, she called Apple Accessibility and the problem was Siri not being setup that was causing the swiping issues. Thank you all for your input, it's greatly appreciated and this thank you is coming from both the lady and myself. Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, VoiceOver Recognition, Screen Recognition turn it off.
