-- There are a ton of settings under VoiceOver settings, Audio, Sounds and Haptics. I’m not sure which one covers typing. As for the alternative characters, I only get those if I let my finger set on a letter for a long time. Have them check that Slide to type is off in Settings, General, Keyboard. I know I am not good at describing these issues properly, but I hope you will understand it. I am not experiencing those issues on my iPhone, but I don’t remember what I had changed in the settings.
