Hi Sandy, My guess, and it is just a guess at this point, is that you are accidently hitting one of the buttons that are now just above the keyboard.
There are several having to do with inserting things like attachments, pictures, etc. Take some time and explore that line just above the Q row. I also turn off predictive text and slide to type in the keyboard settings.
