Let me begin here with some basics; I have an iPhone 8, 256 Gb, iOS 15.4. I keep the Messages app in the dock because I have several pages of apps installed.
Now to get the gist of my issue; I like to have the number of new messages appear with the app icon. Right that is not happening. I can’t seem to figure how I need to configure the app so the new messages count does appear. I believe it has something to do with the notifications settings for Messages, but I’d appreciate if anyone here could offer suggestions.
