My current phone has 64 gb. And seems sufficienty for my needs. Of course, I know I would in time learn to use a phone without a home button but the SE 2022 does sound more like what I am looking for and why put myself through an unnecessary learning curve?
Thanks to everyone for their comments. It is helping me make my mind up. The Pro models of the iPhone 12 and 13 have LIDAR capability but those models are at the top of the price chain. I think at some point learning to use the models with face ID and no home button is a good thing but only you can answer how important a home button is to you. The iPhone SE third generation also called the SE 2022 announced last week is a very capable phone and is the best price starting at $429 USD for a new model with 64GB capacity. Add an additional $50 for each 64GB of additional capacity. This model still has a home button and enough camera capability to handle any OCR done by the iPhone for reading, etc. I'm very much enjoying my iPhone 13 Mini because I like its smaller form factor but must admit that it took me a bit of time to get used to no home button. The nice thing about iPhones is that you can customize them extensively to work as you like. Good luck with your decision. Are there any of the newer models I should avoid or are they all equally accessible? I realise I am going to have to learn how to cope without a home button.
