We have a stove from the Cafe line as well and I absolutely love it. The iPhone app works okay but could be better. I have my stove connected to my echo and, as has already been pointed out, as long as you can press that remote enable button everything works like a dream -- most of the time anyway. But these stoves are quite pricey.
