What I do on that screen is touch in the bottom left corner, when I hear
favorite I then swipe to the left and it takes me to delete. Note, sometimes it
wil bypass delete and I have to swipe right to get to it.

Subject: 4-finger tap at bottom of screen

  Hello List,

I don't use this gesture often, but a 4-finger tap near the bottom of the
screen is meant to put Voiceover focus on the last element/button on a page
even if you'd have to go through multiple screens on the phone to get there.
This can be useful if you know there is a button way down there you want like
sometimes the "I Agree" button on a web page or, when you are editing a
Contact, the "Delete" button.

I was just doing exactly that, deleting a contact, so I though why swipe all
the way to the end and I did the 4-finger tap. However, when you have the
Contact screen open from the phone app, you also see the docked row of Phone
App icons across the very bottom, Favourites, Recents, Contacts, DialPad and
Voicemail. So instead of putting Voiceover focus on the Delete button which is
the last thing in the edit contact screen, the 4-finger tap put me right down
on Voicemail which is the very last thing on the screen, but theoretically it's
not the last element of the editing Contact screen, but it's the last item in
the task bar which should be treated separately, shouldn't it?

I could swear that in iOS 5 if you were editing a contact and that screen had
focus, the 4-finger tap would put you right on Delete.

It's not really a major problem, but maybe somebody could either confirm or
deny this. If this is the case I guess it would be part of the issue of focus
which does seem to crop up in a few other places.

  Regards,

  Sieghard
