I wonder about this. I doubt Android manufacturers would keep using touch ID if at least someone outside of the blindness community wanted it. I could see where blind people would prefer touch ID over face ID more than sighted users would, since a sighted person isn't going to use their iPhone without looking at it.
I've seen reviews of Android phones where people love the touch ID on the back of the phone and others where they hate it. It depends a lot on where the touch ID sensor is located, which varies from manufacturer to manufacturer in Android land.
