Hi,
If vibrate with sounds was on wouldn't that allow the device to vibrate
along with the sound emitted?
If not it's disappointing because those who are deaf blind should have
equal access to this as well.
Take good care,
Robin

I wish we could also have the privative yet effective vibration alert
that the phone is booting up. Kind of like when your device connects
to AC power, but some sort of verification that the device is coming
online. I think it's cool they have this feature, I wish it had been
more universally designed. Oh well, I've lived without it before, I
can continue to do so. LOL

I was wondering that myself. Would the sound chime as soon as you hit
your power button, or take a little time. Some very interesting
things coming out in the apple world these days.

It's going to be interesting to see at what point exactly the sound is
played. Obviously the longer the delay between power on and sound the
less useful it becomes. Definitely some impressive engineering going
on if they got it to a point where iBoot was able to handle audio. In
an ideal world it would also sound if you had a corrupt iOS install.
Obviously not something to go out and buy a Pro for on its own, but
you'd imagine that the feature will trickle down to less expensive
models over the years.

The article only said iPhone 14 pro models with the A16 chip. Darn.
This is a feature I've wanted for sometime. Now I have something to
look forward to when I get a new iPhone. If only I'd waited for the
iPhone 14 pro max.

If the regular iPhone 14 and 14 Plus have the sound it can't be part of
the
A16 chip because they only have the A15, same as the iPhone 13/13 Mini

13 Pro/Pro Max.
Only the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max is getting the A16 chip.

During Startup

From the Tech-VI list owner:
The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models will have the ability to play a
chime
during the boot process. This has been an option which many blind
iPhone
users have wanted for years. Rather than posting the entire article I
am
pasting just the relevant section below. If you go to the original
source
link you can hear what the new chime sounds like. Please note that on
my
PC
the sound was a bit louder than expected. Those using headphones,
earbuds
or
who have sensitivity to loud sounds should be aware of this.

Boot chime for iPhone 14 Pro
Another new feature coming to iPhone 14 Pro models is a boot chime.
More
specifically, users will have the option to make the iPhone play a
sound
every time the device is turned on or off as part of the iOS
accessibility
features.
Since the startup sound is played during the boot process, the chime is
part
of the bootrom of the new A16 chip – which is probably why this option
is
not available for other iPhone models.
