Dear Kawal,

No, I did not take out Apple care for any of my i.s devices. They must have
automatically been registered in my profile associated with the iTunes store
credentials.

I've been researching this subject since I asked the question - a neurotic
thing to do - and i am beginning to understand that there is no way out. I'm
stuck with two IDs - one for iCloud and one for iTunes. My i/os devices must
have associated automatically with my iTunes store ID as soon as I started
sinking them and configuring them in iTunes.

Maybe the whole thing doesn't matter. I just have to remember which device is
registered via which ID. Hm! Not very clever but that's how it seems to be.
