Hi, I have not been following this thread closely so forgive me if someone has already suggested this. If the iPhone in question is running iOS 16, simply invoke Siri and you can ask it to either power down this device or restart this device. Siri will come back and ask you to confirm what you told her to do And you answered yes. At that point, the device will do what you desire to do, either shut down or restart. This is much easier than trying to do all that fancy gymnastics with the fingers and the buttons and what not.
