Hi Richard, Not that Apple couldn't afford it, but keep in mind that a merchant is charged probably at least $15 or more if you do a charge back which is what you are describing if you dispute an item with your credit card company. Also people have to realize that a credit card company may deny a charge back if, for example, they contacted Apple to investigate and Apple provided the receipt for the transaction then it is unlikely a charge back would be approved. Charge backs are for situations where your card is used fraudulently or maybe if you pay for something and the seller doesn't deliver the item or the item is defective and the seller refused to take it back etc. If somebody came to my store with a stolen credit card and they tap it or, for a bigger purchase, know the Pin and enter it, the loss would be that of Visa or Mastercard because there is no way for me to know the card was stolen, but if the real owner of the card did a charge back and I provided a receipt which showed the card was present and the Pin was entered or that card was tapped the card provider can't put the blame on me. I think also in the receipt you hopefully get via Email, or on the web site under your account, there is a return link I think. It has been a very long time since I purchased an app that I wanted a refund for. But, calling Apple Accessibility should get you on the right track. You can always challenge the charge through your credit card company if nothing else works.
