That is interesting, apart from not being able to currently edit a text message if I use Siri entirely to send it I have no issues with dictation not working as always on my iPhone 11. It starts right away and ends when I do a 2-finger double tap to stop it. I don't recall that it puts me in different spots in the edit field and it seems to work as accurately for me as it always has which means it does make mistakes, but not more than in iOS 15 at least not so I'd notice. I use dictation all the time by the way, often for text messages which mostly are shorter, but also for emails and sometimes I will dictate longer emails.

I just didn't want anyone to be stuck with this if dictation hasn't improved and you need it to work well for how you use your phone.
