If I was considering a 2 year old phone, I might take a look at a refurbished phone from a well known source like Apple.

I think it's totally OK to buy last year's phone and given the less than mind blowing changes between the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 I can understand why people who do need or want to upgrade look at the iPhone 14 Pro.
