Hello all: For what this is worth, this is just a review of the ESpeak TTS on IOS. (As with all betas, this is a work in progress.) I wanted to share my experiences, simply to spread awareness with the group on what does and doesn't work as yet with the multilingual, yet no-footprint voices. * Test flight setup and installation was straightforward * Once I got everything up and running, I tried changing languages to Urdu (one of the many languages on offer). This simply did not work and my settings stayed in English. I then tried reading Urdu content from BBCUrdu.com. This, too, also did not work, and ESpeak simply aread the arabic alphabet which corresponds to the Urdu orthography. * Upon reboot, my TTS switched from ESpeak to Samantha. This was a bit of a surprise, since I had select ESpeak as my default.
