I do not recommend people use Venmo. In the terms of service, the company states that the company has no responsibility for failed payments. In fact, the customer is responsible for paying the company an unlimited amount of money if the Venmo incurs losses or expanses as a result of a failed payment. For this reason, I recommend more accessible alternatives. These include PayPal, Zelle, and apple Pay. All can make and receive person to person payments for no cost to either party.
